Electrical Build and Installation Engineer

Dynisma is revolutionising the automotive and motorsport driving simulator market with its disruptive Motion Generator technology. Our cutting-edge approach to simulator design delivers more data about vehicle dynamics and ride to drivers and passengers with less latency and more accurately than any other motion simulators available.

The Team

We are a team of engineers experienced both in the design and manufacture of driving simulators, as well as their use in vehicle development. We develop, deliver and support outstanding, ground-breaking simulators and motion generators that support the engineering that leads to winning performance on the track.

The Role

As a Build and Installation Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly, integration, and commissioning of our simulators and equipment. Focusing on the site installations. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure that our equipment is built to specifications, functions efficiently, and meets quality standards.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Enthusiastic character that is keen to work in a dynamic and high paced environment. Able to take a pragmatic view on balancing workload and prioritising based on business demands. Needs to have an excellent eye for detail and pride themselves on high quality workmanship. Self-starter an able to work independently and manage their own workload.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking to fill an Electrical Build Engineer role, where you will be expected to:

  • Build Motion Generators to the design documentation on time and to quality
  • Install and test motion generator systems
  • Escalating blockers and issues to team leader
  • Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with Industry standards BS7671 and IET wiring regulations
  • Provide electrical on/off site support when required
  • Fault finding
  • Build one offs but also be able to cope with higher volume production runs
  • Maintain good record of the build / test progress
  • Collaborate with design, installation, and quality assurance teams to resolve issues and optimise system performance.
  • Ensuring any quality non-conformances are logged and escalated
  • Support field installations / modification / maintenance in the UK but also globally
  • Support cross-functional collaboration
  • Maintain a strong focus on health and safety
  • Contribute to ensuring the workshop environment is kept to a high standard.

Skills

  • Experience building electrical or electro-mechanical assemblies
  • NVQ level 3 in electrical installation or equivalent
  • Current 18th Edition wiring regulations (BS7671)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and understand bill of materials
  • Proficiency in using test equipment such as multi-meters, insulation resistance testers, earth continuity testers, performing Earth leakage measurements and more.
  • Working within IPC standards
  • Able to work from own initiative but also able to work well within a team
