Responsibilities

• Manage a range of water-related projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery
• Produce, review, and amend key hydrological, water resource, and peat management Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) chapters for renewable energy, infrastructure, and transportation projects
• Liaise with and manage stakeholders, both internal and external to the company, to produce EIA
• Oversee the preparation and submission of planning applications for a number of projects
• Actively contribute to business development activities

Required skills and experience

• A good Initial Degree (with an Upper Second Class Honours or higher) in a numerate or environmental discipline
• Extensive experience in producing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for a number of different water environments (e.g. rivers, wetlands, etc.)
• Demonstrable experience of coordinating Environmental Assessments
• Excellent working knowledge of EIA regulations
• Highly proficient understanding of the UK Planning System
• High-level understanding of flood management and drainage strategies/systems
• Confident and competent in the use of GIS software packages
• Experience of leading/managing projects and/or a team of staff
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding numeracy skills
• Possess a full, valid UK driving licence and your own vehicle
• Willing to travel across the UK to undertake a variety of projects
• Possess professional membership of a relevant professional body (or actively working toward this)

Desirable skills and experience

• Hold a Master\'s (or higher) Degree in a relevant environmental or numerate discipline

• Excellent time management skills
