The Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) at NHS Grampian currently has a vacancy for a Band 4 Medical Engineering Technician and are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced individual to join a small team of technicians who specialise in servicing, maintaining and managing a range of reusable electronic patient applied equipment, i.e. Pumps, Monitors, Diagnostic equipment and Theatre equipment. All equipment is used in clinical areas throughout the Grampian region.
Provide technical support to critical care and other clinical areas, servicing, maintaining and managing a broad range of reusable electronic patient applied equipment. Demonstrate high personal integrity and sympathetic people skills, with the ability to fit in and perform as part of a small team.
Experience in electrical/electronic engineering and ability to clearly demonstrate post qualification technical training and experience in the support of a broad range of medical equipment. High personal integrity and sympathetic people skills are essential.
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
