Job description

This position reports managerially to the Divisional Head of Nursing, and professionally to the Head of Education for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions (NMAHPs).

Responsibilities
  • Lead responsibility for overseeing Divisional education provision for NMAHPs and Clinical Support Workers (CSWs).
  • Lead responsibility for ensuring that the Divisional Education Team provides a high level of support to students and apprentices, thereby facilitating a positive placement experience.
  • Strategically lead the Divisional Education Team to deliver high-quality education that is evaluated against Trust‑wide education quality assurance mechanisms for NMAHPs and CSWs, and key performance indicators.
  • Provide strategic oversight for the education and development of the NMAHP and CSW workforce, aligning with the NHS 10‑Year Plan in collaboration with the divisional nursing leadership team, wider CUH education community, and ICs partners.
  • Collaborate with Trust‑wide Education Leads and specialty teams across the organisation to lead, plan, and organise complex education activities and programmes of study.
  • Be responsible for reviewing, processing, and presenting Divisional applications for funded learning and ongoing professional development at relevant committees.
