Job summary

We’re now recruiting for the 2025/2026 academic year and have flexible teaching opportunities across Northamptonshire, supporting children and young people who need 1:1 provision outside of mainstream school.

If you're passionate about teaching, supporting learners with SEND, and want to make a meaningful difference—this could be the perfect fit for you.

What you’ll be doing
  • Working with your student on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis in their home or a suitable venue
  • Delivering personalised, creative sessions that reflect each learner’s needs, interests and abilities
  • Sessions run during the school day (term time only) and typically last 3 to 5 hours
  • Bank Staff worker – providing short-term provisions as and when they arise, paid via PAYE.
Who we\'re looking for

We welcome applications from:

  • Qualified teachers, tutors, teaching assistants, SEN specialists, and education professionals with experience supporting children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Individuals who are semi-retired, changing career path, or seeking a more flexible role in education
  • A minimum of 2 consistent weekdays of availability
  • Up-to-date understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Desirable: Familiarity with Makaton, PECS, or other communication strategies along with de-escalation and behaviour management training is a plus.
