  • Maintain motors, switchgear, and power distribution panels.
  • Keep technical documentation up to date.
  • Contribute to system upgrades, shutdowns, and emergency callouts.

What you'll be doing
  • Maintenance & Repairs - Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Instrumentation & Automation - Install, commission, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level) and automation systems including PLCs and SCADA.
  • Electrical Systems - Maintain motors, switchgear, and power distribution panels, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Documentation & Compliance - Keep technical documentation (wiring/loop diagrams) up to date and accurate.
  • Project & Emergency Support - Contribute to system upgrades, shutdowns, and 24/7 emergency callouts when required.
What we're looking for
  • NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Systems
  • 18th Edition certification
  • Experience in a similar EC&I roll
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Confident with technical drawings and test equipment
  • Awareness of safety procedures and Permit to Work systems
  • A proactive communicator and collaborative team player
  • Flexibility to work shifts, on-call, and in hazardous environments

Desirable:

  • Calibration experience
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
