Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering, project planning, mining, or construction
  • Experience working with local municipalities and regulatory agencies
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, especially Civil 3D, Carlson Civil/Mining software
  • Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Flexibility to adapt to a changing work environment; availability for overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to translate high-level project requirements into detailed specifications and designs
  • Experience processing conventional and GPS data
  • Design experience including cuts and fills, roadway layouts, soil, piping, and ponds
  • Knowledge of SPCC plans, environmental impact assessments, reclamation plans, stormwater permits, and SWPPP
  • Understanding of environmental regulations related to air, water, solid waste, recycling, gas systems, and maintenance

Earth Projects and Permit Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Developing solid waste facility designs, landfill siting and permitting, construction, and operations
  • Preparing permit applications and managing all permitting activities
  • Executing project plans, developing work instructions, and managing data
  • Ensuring safety procedures are followed
