Qualifications

Early Years Practitioner (Level 3)

Nursery School - Smethwick
Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm Term Time Only

We are pleased to be recruiting a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a friendly and inclusive nursery school in Smethwick. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a welcoming team led by a highly supportive Head Teacher who is committed to staff wellbeing and professional development.

About the Role

You will work across the nursery classroom, supporting children aged 3-4 in their learning, development and emotional wellbeing. A key part of this role will involve working closely with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop confidence and thrive within the setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children's learning through play-based and adult-led activities
  • Provide targeted support for children with SEN
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Assist with observations, assessments and learning records
  • Support daily routines including snack time, outdoor play and transitions
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo
What We're Looking For
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children with SEN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, speech & language needs)
  • A caring, patient and nurturing approach
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
