Job summary

A further education college in West Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Early Years Lecturer on a temporary full-time basis. Role Overview

Role: Early Years Lecturer
Location: West Yorkshire
Type: Temporary - Full Time
Rate: £30 - £35 per hour


We are seeking an experienced Early Years Lecturer for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire. This is a full-time temporary cover starting as soon as possible until the end of January, initially. The role offers an excellent opportunity for a practitioner or lecturer to inspire and support learners pursuing careers within Early Years and Childcare.


Key Responsibilities


  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons across Early Years and Childcare qualifications

  • Support and motivate learners to achieve their full potential

  • Monitor learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback

  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement

  • Maintain accurate records in line with college and awarding body requirements

  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion at all times


The Ideal Candidate Will Have


  • A relevant qualification in Early Years / Childcare (Level 3 or above)

  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

  • Experience teaching in Further Education or training environments (desirable)

  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A learner-focused, inclusive approach to teaching
