Overview

Dyslexia Specialist - Secondary School (SRP) - Twickenham

Location: Twickenham Start: ASAP Via Veritas Education

Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess students with dyslexia using age-appropriate screening tools
  • Design tailored intervention plans that align with secondary curriculum demands
  • Deliver structured literacy support to students across KS3/KS4 in small groups and 1:1
  • Collaborate with subject teachers to differentiate instruction and embed strategies
  • Support access arrangements for exams (e.g., extra time, reader, scribe)
  • Track academic progress and adjust interventions based on data and feedback
  • Promote metacognitive strategies to help students manage learning independently
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff on dyslexia-friendly teaching practices
  • Communicate with families to share strategies and progress updates
  • Support emotional resilience and self-esteem in students with dyslexia
