Job summary

Sainsbury's is looking for a Customer & Trading Manager to ensure daily store operations run like clockwork and deliver excellent service. You will lead a small team of managers, coach staff, and take end‑to‑end accountability for performance, scheduling and payroll while maintaining high standards of safety and customer care.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
• Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and driving performance.
• Ability to manage disciplinary and attendance issues and support performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Work with a small team of managers to keep the store running smoothly.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day store operations and act as the on-site manager when needed.
• Lead customer service to ensure efficient, safe, and pleasant shopping experiences.
• Manage performance, scheduling, and payroll, and handle employee relations in line with policy.
• Be prepared to assist other stores when required.
