Job Summary

The job holder will manage a Client Team of up to 15 FTE and be responsible for meeting all client service levels deliverables and deadlines for the processing of Coverholder Risk Premium and Claims bordereaux.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 10 to 15 staff.
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs; produce daily and weekly client reports, lead update calls, and steer monthly and quarterly service delivery and client governance meetings.
  • Monitor and manage the contract P&L and responsibility for the contract gross margin.
  • Develop and build upon existing client relationships, being the main point of contact and dealing directly with clients in a collaborative and professional manner.
  • Optimize team structure, staff development and associated objective monitoring through the appraisal process including overall team performance and individual PDP plans.
  • Manage the recruitment process and deliver training to new team members. Review and produce detailed and robust training plans for in‑office and remote training.
  • Provide hands‑on technical quality control support to ensure the team achieves client SLAs.
  • Contribute to new business projects and support pitches; support consultancy projects.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong leadership skills with previous experience managing a team.
  • Excellent technical skills and ability to prioritise the workload of the team to meet deadlines.
  • Good corporate financial awareness and proactive understanding of team utilisation, experience using workflow tools to monitor, measure and act upon performance management information.
  • Good understanding of London market systems and procedures.
  • Understanding of the Delegated Underwriting market and processes.
  • Experience in a similar role in the (re)insurance market. Service provider or operations leadership role within a Managing Agent desirable.
  • Experience with Intrali or a similar bordereaux mapping system desirable.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills essential.
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft packages including Excel and PowerPoint.
