Teacher of Design & Technology

Independent School | Sevenoaks, Kent

Full-time | Start date: ASAP

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Design & Technology to join our thriving and forward-thinking department at our independent school in Sevenoaks.

The successful candidate will be passionate about Design & Technology and committed to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire creativity, problem-solving and practical excellence. You will teach across a range of year groups, with the opportunity to contribute to GCSE and/or A Level courses, depending on experience.

The Role
  • Teach Design & Technology across the school, including specialist areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering (depending on expertise)
  • Plan and deliver innovative, practical, and academically rigorous lessons
  • Contribute to curriculum development within a well-resourced DT department
  • Support and encourage pupils of all abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Take an active role in the wider life of the school, including co-curricular activities
The Ideal Candidate
  • A well-qualified teacher with a strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
  • Experience teaching DT at secondary level (independent or maintained sector)
  • A commitment to excellent classroom practice and pupil wellbeing
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
