Job summary

A leading driver training organization is seeking a Driver Development Coach to deliver tailored training and manage CPC programmes. This role focuses on improving driver performance, reducing risk, and ensuring compliance with UK transport regulations. Ideal candidates should have experience as a driver trainer, strong communication skills, and a full, clean UK driving licence. Qualifications

• Experience as a Driver Trainer, Assessor, or senior driver with training responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and vehicle safety standards.
• Proven experience delivering driver assessments and training (classroom and on-road).
• Understanding of Driver CPC requirements and training delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct annual driver assessments and monitor compliance with DTAS, Red Tractor, and other standards.
• Plan and coordinate CPC training schedules for regional drivers.
• Support investigations into infringements, accidents, and near misses.
• Lead driver inductions and integrate new drivers into the business.

Skills

Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills

Strong organisational and analytical abilities

Confident working independently and managing a varied workload

Able to challenge constructively and drive continuous improvement

Skilled in using telematics data to support driver development

Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital training platforms

Education

Recognised driver training qualification (e.g. RTITB, LGV Instructor) or equivalent experience

Full, clean UK driving licence including LGV Category C+E
