Overview

As a Driver - Handler you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a key role within a small but highly effective Transport Services team, where the highest standards will be expected. You’ll be required to drive and operate a wide range of general and specialist vehicles, from Passenger Carrying Vehicles to Fuel Bowsers. You’ll be responsible for making sure students, equipment and vehicles get to the right place at the right time!

Responsibilities
  • Transporting students between units and the local area using a range of vehicles
  • Carrying out detailed monthly checks of the vehicle fleet and reporting all defects
  • Working on a busy flight line, carrying out see‑offs, see‑ins and refuelling company owned aircraft
  • PPE will be provided and must be worn as a matter of company policy
Requirements
  • Experience of driving a variety of vehicles
  • Sound knowledge of Driver's Hours Regulations in accordance with EU Directive 561/2006
  • Computer literate; basic IT skills
  • Good diplomacy skills required
  • Ability to engage effectively with internal and external personnel at all levels, including senior stakeholders
  • Enjoy driving to various parts of the UK

  • Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) DVLA Licence Category C
  • Digital Tachograph Card
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS and CTC security clearance for this role.
