Qualifications

• Class 1 Driving Licence is essential.
• An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card is required.
• Experience of using a hook-lift vehicle is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and load waste into the vehicle.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and use onboard technology.
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws and keep the work environment safe.
• Assist with site operations when not driving.

HGV Class 1 Driver

Salary: £32,450.27 per annum plus Veolia benefits.

Hours - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 06:30am-16:00pm

Location: Solihull Contract B92 0DY

What you'll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and loading recycling and domestic waste into the vehicle.
• Complete daily checks of the vehicle and use the onboard technology to complete work notes.
• Comply with all traffic laws and legislation and ensure their work environment is safe and clean at all times.
• Ensure all health & safety legislation are adhered to at all times.
• Support additional other duties as instructed by the Site Manager when required.
• When not driving you would be required to assist with site operations, i.e. manual handling helping the public and generally keeping the site in good order.
• Machine training.

What we're looking for;

Essential:

• Class 1 Driving Licence
• An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.

Desirable:

• Experience of using a hook-lift vehicle would be advantageous.
• Local geographical knowledge is highly desirable, including experience of driving in the area.
• Experience in transport of waste.
