A local authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a Domestic Energy Advisor to provide tailored energy efficiency and retrofit advice to residents. Responsibilities include conducting property surveys, developing engagement plans for services, and collaborating with stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge of energy efficiency, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach. The Domestic Energy Advisor will deliver tailored, face‑to‑face energy efficiency and retrofit advice to residents, including property surveys, technical guidance, and reassurance on upcoming measures. The role involves developing and monitoring engagement plans for the Switched On Portsmouth service, providing excellent customer service, and offering technical advice on systems such as insulation, heat pumps and solar PV in line with PAS2035/PAS2030 standards. Additional responsibilities include stakeholder collaboration, staff training, marketing coordination, handling queries and complaints, managing supplier contracts, and preparing reports for referral partners.
Interviews will be held in person at the Civic Offices, Portsmouth between 26th January and 6th February 2026, and will last approximately 1.5 hours.
