Job description

We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our team working within WPS Planned Works. This is an exciting opportunity to support a new social housing partner delivering Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) works.

You will play a key role in managing and maintaining accurate documentation across multiple projects, ensuring compliance and smooth delivery. The role will be primarily office‑based, with occasional travel to sites as and when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update project documentation in line with company standards and client requirements.
  • Ensure all documents are correctly filed, version‑controlled, and easily accessible.
  • Liaise with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to manage document flow.
  • Monitor compliance with document control procedures and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support audits and reporting by providing accurate documentation records.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in document control within construction, housing, or planned works environments.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel to sites when required.
