Overview

Document Controller Freelance - Huddersfield area

We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Document Controller with Site Admin experience to join one of our key clients on a project in the Huddersfield area. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in document control and site administration within the construction sector.

Responsibilities
  • As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining project documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and version control. You\'ll play a key role in supporting the project team with timely access to drawings, reports, and other essential documents.
  • Set up and maintain document control systems and registers
  • Manage incoming and outgoing documents, drawings, and correspondence
  • Ensure all documentation is correctly filed, archived, and accessible
  • Track revisions and ensure the latest versions are issued to relevant parties
  • Work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to coordinate document flow
  • Maintain compliance with company and project standards
  • Support the Project Manager and wider team with administrative tasks and reporting
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of document control systems (e.g. Viewpoint / 4Projects, Asite, Aconex, etc.)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
