About the role

Do you want to influence how it feels to work at Boots now and in the future? Working alongside the Head of DEI this hands‑on role is key to enabling and embedding an inclusive colleague experience where everyone is treated with dignity and respect and valued for their contribution. Working within our ESG Centre of Excellence this role is part of a dedicated team delivering brilliant work every day. The role will work with stakeholders to directly manage and implement inclusion initiatives as well as leading the business resource group community and managing external partnerships in support of our inclusion ambitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with wider business teams to embed equity and inclusion into core processes and everyday ways of working
  • Take ownership of planning and delivering specific projects and initiatives
  • Collect and analyse data and track and report on progress toward goals
  • Act as an expert point of contact advising the business on relevant DEI themes as appropriate
  • Using internal and external insights support the development of our DEI agenda and plan
Business Resource Groups (BRGs)
  • Act as DEI first point of contact for UK&I BRG chairs and co‑chairs
  • Work closely with BRG leads to deliver relevant initiatives
  • Support BRGs to raise awareness and demonstrate their impact
  • Facilitate Community of Practice meetings and lead team meetings
Strategic Partnerships
  • Acting as the key point of contact maintain and develop strategic external partnerships
  • Coordinate DEI related campaigns to drive awareness and improve engagement with colleagues and customers
  • Collaborate across teams to coordinate index and benchmarking submissions and accreditation applications
What You’ll Need to Have
  • An ability to demonstrate an understanding of complex issues that contribute to societal inequities
  • An awareness and understanding of relevant employment law eg The Equality Act 2010
  • An ability to understand and interpret the external and internal DEI operating context
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management skills and the ability to work autonomously prioritise and deliver to timescales
  • Ability to analyse data and generate insights to inform initiatives
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and in partnership with other teams
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Pragmatism resilience and tenacity are key
It Would be Great if You Also Have
  • Previous experience in delivering or contributing to diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Generalist knowledge of HR and the employee lifecycle
