Role Overview

NELFT are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 District Nurse/Caseload Manager to join our integrated community team in Brentwood and Billericay. The service currently operates from 0700 - 1900 hrs including regular weekends on a rota basis. The post holder will be expected to support their team, department and organisation to achieve the Trust’s Values in their day to day work. Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a Community Nursing Team, geographically aligned to GP practices.
  • Supervise pre-registration students.
  • Manage caseload ensuring a high standard of nursing care to patients and their families in the community.
  • Provide leadership to the community nursing team without direct supervision.
  • Collaborate and liaise with GPs, other professionals and statutory and voluntary agencies.
  • Work within and across professional and organisational boundaries as part of the integrated care team.
  • Support peers and team leader.
Induction & Probationary Period

All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High Cost Area Supplement – London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,258 and a maximum payment of £2,122 per annum pro rata).
