We have an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Operations department as a Distribution Service Technician.
Within this role you’ll be a key player in ensuring a constant supply of high-quality drinking water through the operation and maintenance of our underground water network. This role involves inspecting, improving, operating, and repairing our assets to meet customer needs. You\'ll focus on resolving issues promptly, managing customer expectations, and ensuring a resilient network.
Responsibilities include tracing mains and apparatus, performing valve operations, assessing future repair locations, and promoting network improvements. You\'ll also conduct proactive asset checks, meet service level agreements, and take personal ownership of customer issues. Safety is paramount, and you\'ll be expected to carry out risk assessments and comply with statutory standards. You\'ll be based at our Staverton site and you’ll work within our Customer Operations department. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 40 hours a week, working a shift pattern, including working across a range of shift patterns including evenings and weekends.
We are seeking a dedicated professional who has a strong background in customer-facing roles, delivering exceptional service. It would be advantageous if you had experience in a utility-based industry, with particular experience in problem-solving roles involving repairs. Proficiency in IT and computer literacy is essential.
The role requires excellent communication skills to explain technical information simply to various stakeholders, and the ability to handle operational problems calmly. A positive outlook, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are crucial.
