Job description

A well-respected charity based in Oxford is seeking a Finance Director to join their team. Reporting to the CEO, this is a key role responsible for overseeing all finances for the organisation. They are open to both full-time and part-time applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day finances while leading a small team.

Prepare monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and financial reports for the senior management team and Board of Trustees.

Oversee the work of the finance team, including improving current policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with charity SORP, VAT, and other financial regulations.

Manage cashflow closely.

Provide strategic financial advice and support to the senior leadership team.

The role offers hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Candidates seeking either full-time or part-time work are welcome to apply.

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least five years’ experience in a senior finance role.

Proven track record of financial management and reporting in a charity or not-for-profit organisation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues at all levels.
