Job description
THE ROLE

The Director Mineral Resources provides strategic and technical leadership for all mineral resource evaluation, modeling, estimation, and governance activities across Endeavour’s portfolio. The role ensures technical integrity, compliance with international reporting standards (NI 43-101), and supports the conversion of geological data into robust resource statements that underpin operational and strategic decision-making.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Resource Governance & Compliance
  • Provision of overarching Qualified Person compilation and sign off for the Mineral Resource estimate.
  • Define, implement, and maintain group-wide standards for mineral resource estimation and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with NI 43-101, and internal governance protocols.
  • Lead internal audits and coordinate external reviews and sign-off by Qualified Persons (QPs).
Resource Estimation & Technical Excellence
  • Direct the resource modeling, estimation, and classification process across all sites and exploration projects.
  • Review and approve resource models and statements.
  • Promote innovation in modeling techniques, geostatistics, and data analytics.
Strategic Planning & Integration
  • Provide resource evaluation input into life-of-mine planning, projects, studies, and portfolio reviews.
  • Partner with the Chief Geoscientist and Exploration VPs to ensure geological models feed effectively into resource and reserve estimation workflows.
  • Contribute to project valuation and M&A assessments.
People Leadership & Capability Development
  • Lead and mentor a team of resource professionals.
  • Build group capability through training, knowledge sharing, and best-practice dissemination.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of QP-qualified talent.
Data & Systems Governance
  • Oversee integration of geological and resource databases.
  • Ensure QA / QC consistency, traceability, and data integrity.
  • Ensure appropriate supporting modifying factors are sourced to support the Mineral Resource estimate
  • Drive implementation of advanced software and digital tools for resource modeling.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Liaise with Operations, Technical Services, Exploration, Corporate Finance and external auditors.
  • Represent Endeavour in technical reviews, due diligence, and peer groups.
HSE & ESG
  • Champion safety, integrity, and responsible resource reporting.
  • Promote sustainable resource development aligned with Endeavour’s ESG commitments.
