The Corporate Finance Partner is now seeking their “number two”; a senior, hands‑on dealmaker who will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the firm’s transaction agenda.

The Role
As Corporate Finance Director, you will work closely with the Corporate Finance Partner to lead, execute and originate mid‑market transactions across M&A, buy‑side, sell‑side and fundraising mandates. The role blends technical excellence, commercial judgement and relationship leadership, with significant exposure to both clients and the wider regional dealmaking community.
Deal Execution (Primary Focus)
- Lead the day‑to‑day execution of live transactions, ensuring high‑quality, timely delivery across all workstreams.
- Oversee financial modelling, valuation analysis and preparation of core deal materials.
- Coordinate and challenge due diligence processes, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Prepare and refine information memoranda, teasers, process letters and other transaction documentation.
- Support negotiations, providing insight, analysis and strategic guidance to clients.
- Maintain firm control of project management, timelines and stakeholder communication.
Business Development & Market Engagement
- Build and nurture relationships across the regional mid‑market, including business owners, private equity, banks and intermediaries.
- Work alongside the Partner to originate new mandates and develop a sustainable deal pipeline.
- Leverage market trends, sector developments and your network to identify new opportunities.
- Represent the firm at events and forums to enhance visibility and strengthen its market presence.
Leadership & Team Contribution
- Mentor and support associates, executives and trainees, acting as a senior reference point on technical work and deal processes.
- Contribute to the development of internal best practices, operating standards and team‑wide initiatives.
- Help shape strategic decisions around service offering, market positioning and team growth.
- Promote a collaborative, high‑performance culture that reflects the values of the practice.
Essential Attributes
- Strong background in corporate finance advisory, investment banking, boutique M&A or accountancy‑firm CF.
- Proven experience executing mid‑market transactions with meaningful client exposure.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently and take ownership of deliverables.
- Commercial, analytical and pragmatic, with the confidence to advise clients and influence stakeholders.
- Experience supporting or contributing to business development activity.
- Highly organised, with a strong sense of ownership and delivery.
Qualifications
- Financial Accreditation (CFA preferred but not essential) with strong transaction experience.
- Degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related field is advantageous.
