A public sector organization in the UK seeks a Digital Systems Support Officer to enhance and maintain business systems. This full-time, fixed-term position until November 2027 offers a competitive salary and encourages collaborative work styles. The successful candidate will play a key role in system development and stakeholder support while enjoying opportunities for professional growth. Hybrid working arrangements are available, allowing flexibility in work location while attending essential onsite meetings.
We are looking for 2 customer-driven Digital Systems Support Officers to join our dynamic Digital Customer Experience Team at Norfolk County Council.
In these full time, fixed-term roles (until 30 November 2027), you will contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of business systems; e.g. customer account, forms, and case management processes to support council objectives.
As well as creating and maintaining forms and processes you will undertake regular monitoring of systems and integrations and ensure business systems meet data quality and data retention standards in line with mandatory regulations (e.g. GDPR).
You will use technical skills to build solutions or resolve customer problems to recognised best practice standards (For example GDS, WCAG) in a fast paced collaborative environment.
We work with colleagues across the whole organisation, so we are looking for a motivated, personable individual who can work flexibly with both IT colleagues on resolving systems issues, and departmental stakeholders to provide advice and support to those services who use our software.
We'll support you in developing your skills while working alongside more experienced members of the team. There are also training and development opportunities both in house and in the wider digital government community.
We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people.
Flexibility is built into the way we work, with hybrid working a key feature for many roles. As well as working remotely, there will be meetings, training, or sprints where you will be required to attend at Norfolk County Council in Norwich (the primary workplace) or a similarly local venue throughout the two years of the role.
Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good broadband connectivity.
You’ll also have access to our modern open-plan offices within walking distance of Norwich city centre.
Interviews will use video technology, and you will have the opportunity to discuss these working arrangements.
