Overview

Digital Support Technician – Asset Management. Give IT support where it really makes a difference. Responsibilities
  • Participate in the delivery of an efficient, responsive, effective and customer focused IT support service. Junior IT Technicians will have responsibility for ensuring that IT technical support is provided to appropriate levels of customer service in line with corporate Service Level Agreements.
  • Lead on the maintenance and integrity of the Trust’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Coordinate complex asset deployments across multiple sites.
  • Provide expert guidance to junior technicians and support teams.
  • Lead on the strategic and operational management of IT assets, overseeing the full lifecycle—from procurement and deployment to maintenance and decommissioning—ensuring compliance with procurement policies, financial governance, and national standards.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders across Digital Services, clinical teams, and external suppliers to ensure asset management processes are efficient, secure, and aligned with service delivery goals.
  • Contribute to policy development, lead audits, support procurement planning, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Role may involve cross-site travel and participation in out-of-hours support as required.
Qualifications
  • This position is suited to experienced IT professionals with a strong background in infrastructure support, asset governance, and service management.
