Job summary

A leading automotive recruitment consultancy in Watford is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician to join their professional workshop team. You will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, and diagnostics on high-end vehicles while ensuring all work meets manufacturer standards. Ideal candidates will be fully qualified, have main dealer experience, and demonstrate strong diagnostic skills. Interviews are available immediately for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified Vehicle Technician with a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Main dealer experience required for the role.
  • Desirable: MOT license.

Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician

Location: Watford

Full-Time | Permanent | 42.5 Hours per Week

1 in 4 Saturdays on Rota

Salary: Starting from £24,000 (Negotiable DOE) + Bonus Potential

Are you a skilled and qualified Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician with experience in a franchised main dealer environment? We're recruiting due to a replacement need — and we're looking for quality candidates who are ready to join a busy and professional workshop team.

Whether you're Level 3 qualified with strong diagnostic skills or a Level 4 Master Technician, we'd love to hear from you.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Servicing, maintenance, and diagnostics
  • Working on high end, prestige vehicles (training and brand exposure available for the right candidate)
  • Ensuring all work is carried out to manufacturer standards
  • Supporting your colleagues and contributing to a collaborative team environment
What We’re Looking For:
  • Fully qualified Vehicle Technician (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Main dealer experience essential
  • At least 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
  • A team player with attention to detail and a professional attitude
  • MOT license is desirable but not essential
