Job description
Overview

We are seeking radiographers with sound radiographic experience, who will contribute positively and enthusiastically to the professional running and future development of the department. The post is suitable for a radiographer keen to experience a wide range of modalities and to support and develop the 7-day service whilst working with state-of-the-art equipment and optimising image techniques across clinical and research fields.

Responsibilities
  • Rotation through modalities such as CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology, General X‑ray, PET/CT and Nuclear medicine, depending on individual experience and interests.
  • Provide out‑of‑hours, weekend and night shift coverage where required.
  • Support the oncology, radiotherapy, breast, renal, urology, transplantation, chest medicine, upper and lower GI, head and neck, haematology and infectious diseases imaging services.
Locations

The role will be based primarily at Churchill Hospital but may involve temporary work across other OUH sites including the John Radcliffe Hospital and community hospital sites.

Equipment

The department includes two 64‑slice and one 256‑slice GE CT scanners, a 1.5T and 3T GE MRI scanners, two flat‑plate interventional rooms, two PET/CT scanners, two Gamma cameras (including SPECT‑CT), four ultrasound rooms, a lithotripsy unit and five DR GE Definium HD rooms.
