Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server architecture is a must.
  • Expert knowledge of Active Directory, GPO, WSUS and related services required.
  • Administration experience with RedHat or Rocky Linux is essential.
  • Administration of Microsoft Hyper-V environments is needed.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and administration skills are needed.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively.

Overview

At CGI, you'll help deliver a secure, on-premise cloud platform that underpins Defence services. This role supports the modernisation of legacy applications by migrating them onto a robust Azure Stack Hub-based environment. You will contribute to a high-impact programme approaching go-live, shaping resilient infrastructure, strengthening security, and automating delivery within a collaborative environment that values ownership, creativity, and professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Build and configure infrastructure and services to support application migrations
  • Design and support infrastructure solutions aligned to platform and migration needs
  • Maintain and secure the platform through patching, monitoring, and vulnerability remediation
  • Harden and protect systems to meet Defence security and compliance requirements
  • Automate and improve deployment and operational processes where possible
  • Collaborate and advise application teams on making workloads cloud-ready
Qualifications
  • You should have strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server architecture
  • Proven expertise in Active Directory, GPO, WSUS, and related services
  • Solid administration experience with RedHat, Rocky, or similar Linux distributions
  • Experience administering Microsoft Hyper-V environments
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and administration skills
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider teams
Desirable experience
  • DevOps tooling and practices (e.g. CI/CD pipelines)
  • Ansible and/or Jenkins experience
  • Veeam backup and recovery solutions
  • Azure Stack Hub experience
