Job summary

Axiom Technologies is seeking a capable IT Support Technician to provide onsite and on-call assistance within the desktop computing environment. The role covers end-user support across Windows, macOS, and Linux, with ticketing, VPN, and basic network tasks.

You will work closely with IT teams to maintain security and system integrity. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year in desktop support, strong communication, and troubleshooting skills, with willingness to learn and adapt

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent).
• 1+ year in desktop support, helpdesk, or IT technician role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and basic networking.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Zendesk, Jira).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Respond to service requests and incidents via ticketing system, phone, or in-person.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain operating systems (Windows/macOS/Linux) and software applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
• Set up and configure new employee workstations, including user accounts and permissions.
• Maintain asset inventory and documentation of IT equipment.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding from a technical perspective.
• Support remote users with VPN, remote desktop, and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with IT teams on escalated issues or projects.
• Follow security protocols and assist with antivirus, patching, and data protection.
