Job summary

Axiom Technologies Pty Ltd. is seeking a capable desktop support technician to provide onsite assistance in the organization's desktop computing environment. You will deliver timely first- and second-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

The role involves configuring workstations, assisting with onboarding/offboarding, and supporting remote users with VPN and connectivity issues. Strong communication and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 1+ year of desktop support or helpdesk experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Office 365.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Zendesk, JIRA).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level desktop support for devices and peripherals.
• Handle service requests via ticketing system, phone, or in-person.
• Install and maintain operating systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Set up new employee workstations and permissions.
• Maintain asset inventory and documentation.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding from a technical view.
• Support remote users with VPN and remote access.
• Collaborate with IT teams on escalations and projects.
• Follow security policies for antivirus, patching, and data protection.
