Job description
Overview

Our Media is a leading special-interest content business, based in Bristol. We work with brands in craft, cycling, science and nature, homes and music, across print, video and online. Our brands include BBC Science Focus, BBC Wildlife Magazine, Your Home, Gathered.how, BikeRadar and Cycling Plus. We also have an award-winning content agency that collaborates with major charities, brands and membership organisations to tell their stories and engage audiences.

Position

We are looking for a proactive, hungry and talented Designer to join our busy creative team. This is a hands-on, varied role across multiple accounts and media, including magazine layouts, art editing, social-first and digital channel content, branded campaigns and more.

You will support senior art directors and designers to bring ideas to life with strong layout skills, design sensibility and an eye for brand detail. You’ll work on both digital and print formats and contribute to a broad range of projects for major UK clients in nature and conservation, and leisure and entertainment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a few years of agency, brand, branded content or publishing experience who is ready to take the next step in a creative, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide design support across multiple accounts and media, including magazine layouts, art editing, social-first and digital content, and branded campaigns.
  • Collaborate with senior art directors and designers to realise concepts with strong layout, typography and brand consistency.
  • Contribute to both print and digital formats and learn from an experienced team on a range of projects for major UK clients.

  • Eager to learn, open to feedback, and able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
  • Thrives in a fast-moving environment and takes pride in delivering polished, brand-appropriate design work.

Essential Experience

  • Proven professional design experience in an agency, publishing or in-house brand setting, including print.
  • Experience designing content within brand guidelines and creating assets for multiple platforms.
  • Solid working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Understanding of print production processes and digital design considerations.
  • A strong portfolio showing cross-platform design thinking and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

  • Evidence of work using AI tools to improve design outcomes and processes.
  • Proficiency in Figma and/or other digital design prototyping tools.
