We’re supporting a leading Tier 1 main contractor in their search for an experienced Design Manager or Senior Design Manager to join their East Midlands team. This role will focus on complex, technical build projects, with a strong emphasis on MoJ and MoD projects.

The Role:

• Lead and manage the design process from pre‑construction to handover.
• Work closely with project and commercial teams on high‑value, secure projects.
• Coordinate design teams, consultants and specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance, buildability and design quality across all stages.
• Identify design risks and drive effective solutions.

About You:

• Proven experience as a DM or Senior DM within major construction projects.
• Background working on secure, MoJ or MoD schemes is highly desirable.
• Strong technical understanding and excellent coordination skills.
• Confident communicator able to lead design strategy on complex builds.
