A reputable engineering contractor in Wales is seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to support the delivery of rail infrastructure projects. The role involves managing design activities, overseeing progress, and liaising with stakeholders for timely production of buildable designs. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in rail or civil engineering design coordination, excellent communication skills, and relevant qualifications such as a CITB TWC. An exceptional opportunity for an experienced Rail and Civil Engineering Design Coordinator to advance their career within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Join our team to contribute to the delivery of vital rail infrastructure projects across Wales, supporting our ongoing CP7 Wales Civils Framework.
Our busy project environment manages an extensive portfolio of civils projects, including line‑side rail civil works, bridges and structures renewals, large structural installations such as new bridges, Access for All (AFA) schemes, and general civils works. Projects include bridge upgrades, station refurbishments, footbridges, line‑side civils, and other structural enhancements.
This role focuses on supporting the delivery of the CP7 Wales Civils Framework, a design & build contract involving the renewal and refurbishment of railway assets (underbridges, overbridges, footbridges, tunnels, retaining walls, scour defences) throughout Wales. The Design Coordinator will assist Engineering Managers in collating base information, coordinating design activities with our design partners, and ensuring timely production of high‑quality, buildable designs aligned with project specifications and programme.
