A local council in England seeks a motivated individual to lead the Adult Social Care team. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Adult Social Care team in Westmorland and Furness, where we are committed to enabling people to live independently in their communities, surrounded by the people and things they love. This role is crucial in ensuring that our Support at Home services are effective, high‑quality, and aligned with our strategic goals.
As a key leader within the service, you will support the Team Manager in overseeing the delivery of CQC‑regulated Support at Home services, ensuring compliance, cost‑effectiveness, and excellence in care. You will provide line management for our dedicated Social Care Workers, ensuring their teams are well‑supported, trained, and delivering outstanding care. Working closely with internal and external partners, you will drive integrated working practices, conduct quality audits, and contribute to maintaining or improving our "GOOD" CQC rating. If you are passionate about delivering high‑quality care and have the leadership skills to inspire and support teams, we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual with experience in managing within a political environment and leading change effectively. You should have a strong background in supporting and inspiring teams to deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused services while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills are essential, along with the confidence to challenge practice when necessary. A robust understanding of CQC regulations and a commitment to providing support in a non‑discriminatory, respectful manner are key. You must be willing to work flexibly to meet operational needs and either hold or be prepared to undertake a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care within 12 months of appointment.
