Overview

A Vacancy at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Band 6 post within a General Acute Medical Ward with a focus on Endocrine patients.

You will join a friendly, committed and dynamic team and be required to support the co-ordination of a busy, 28-bed ward, while providing leadership to the junior workforce in union with the band 7 clinical lead.

Responsibilities
  • Support the co-ordination of the busy 28-bed General Acute Medical Ward.
  • Provide leadership to the junior workforce in conjunction with the band 7 clinical lead.
  • Drive continual improvement of patient safety, clinical effectiveness and patient experience through implementation of the Trust’s quality strategy.
  • Deliver safe, compassionate care that contributes to a high quality patient experience.
  • Be part of a team with a vision to strengthen and develop the existing team and service.
Qualifications / Skills
  • Enthusiastic, professional individual with strong leadership qualities.
  • Interest or knowledge in Endocrine, Respiratory and Gastroenterology would be an advantage.
  • Commitment to learning and professional development with opportunities provided through study days, competencies and courses.
  • Ability to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
