Deputy Manager (Non Clinical) – Weston‑super‑Mare

Contract: Full Time

Serenita Care Home is a grand Victorian residence located in Weston‑super‑Mare, just a short walk from the seafront and the famous pier. The home provides specialist support for individuals living with mental health conditions, including Korsakoff's syndrome and Alcohol Related Brain Damage, promoting independence for up to 34 residents.

We are looking for a confident and compassionate Deputy Manager to play a key role in supporting the Home Manager and overseeing the day‑to‑day running of the service. This is an opportunity to lead by example, inspire a skilled team, and help maintain high standards of care within a supportive and positive working environment.

What You Will Do

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the care home, supporting both care delivery and operational standards. You will lead, guide, and mentor the staff team, promoting best practice, development, and a culture of continuous improvement. You will oversee medication management, including auditing and administration, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance at all times. When required, you will confidently step into the Home Manager role, providing consistent leadership and maintaining high standards across the service.

The Ideal Deputy Manager

You will hold NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and be willing to work towards Level 5. You will have experience with medication administration and auditing, along with a strong understanding of safe practice. You will bring proven leadership experience within the care sector, with the ability to motivate and support teams through training and development. You will be adaptable, confident, and capable of providing leadership cover for the Home Manager when required.
