A specialist provider of care for children and young people is seeking a Deputy Manager to assist in managing a care home. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting the Registered Manager, and line-managing staff. Ideal candidates will hold an NVQ Level 5 qualification and have relevant experience in a residential care setting, particularly with children facing emotional and behavioral difficulties. We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a London specialist provider of care and support for Children and Young People aged 7 -18 years with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As a Deputy Manager, you will be playing a crucial role in supporting the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care for Children and Young People. You will be helping in providing a stable, safe, and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social development of the residents.
You will be providing comprehensive support for those with a history of mental health challenges, residential care for children and young people with learning disabilities.
Short to long term placements for children, or those with reduced capacity.
This job role is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake additional duties to meet the needs of the home, so flexibility and adaptability are key in this role.
