Overview

Deputy Residential Manager - Children's Home

Full-time, Fixed Term (16 months - Maternity Cover)

£50,000 - £56,000 per annum + benefits

This is a leadership role; 9-5 with the flexibility to cover two half-days per month at weekends to support the needs of the home.

Qualifications

You will need a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and extensive experience working in a children's home with teenagers (13-17 years old).

While previous management experience is an advantage, we are also open to applications from experienced Senior Support Worker or Team Leader with supervisory skills who are ready to step up into management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of Practitioners, ensuring that care is trauma-informed, nurturing, and consistently high quality.
  • Promote trauma-informed, child-centred practice at all times.
  • Support staff development through coaching, supervision, and performance management.
  • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and effective multi-agency collaboration.
  • Model professional boundaries and best practice in all aspects of care.
  • Lead activities that support young people's emotional, social, and educational growth.
