Job title and organisation: Deputy Group Finance Manager - Trinity Academy Leeds

Salary: SO2 / PO1 (NJC points 26 - 30): £37,280 - £40,777 per annum

Hours: 37

Contract: All year round

Location: Trinity Academy Leeds

The trust currently comprises of 11 academies, including secondary, primary and further education. We are also home to Trinity Institute of Education and West Yorkshire Maths Hub and have strong plans for further growth. This is an exciting time to join our trust!

Our finance teams play a pivotal role across our academies and we are now seeking a Deputy Group Finance Manager to support our academies across the east of our region. This includes three secondary academies - Trinity Academy Cathedral, Trinity Academy St Edward's, Trinity Academy Leeds as well as a primary school, joining the Trust in spring 2026.

This is a newly created role, introduced to support the Trust's continued growth. The successful candidate will:

  • Deputise for and support the Group Finance Manager in the leadership and development of academy finance teams.
  • Manage all finance related matters including payroll, budgeting and banking matters, ensuring the provision of accurate and timely information.
  • Communicate and present financial information to a range of leadership and management audiences.
  • Ensure all aspects of the academy's financial management are delivered and developed to a high standard.
  • Provide guidance and advice to leaders and management on all financial matters.

The role will require regular travel to each of the designated academy sites to ensure the effective flow of information and to provide appropriate support to local finance teams.

  • Experience of working under pressure and to deadlines.
