A leading provider in children’s care located in Solihull is seeking a compassionate and professional Deputy Manager to work in a therapeutic residential setting. This role involves shaping care practices and supporting staff to ensure the highest standards of compliance and care delivery. Candidates should have significant experience in residential care, strong safeguarding knowledge, and relevant qualifications. A full-time, permanent position offering a salary ranging from £32,000 to £37,500 is available, along with various benefits including a company pension and casual dress.

The organisation specialises in supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, adopting a holistic and therapeutic approach to care. All aspects of a young person’s development are carefully considered to ensure tailored, high-quality support that meets their individual needs.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to shape and deliver the home’s Statement of Purpose. You will support the leadership and development of the staff team, ensuring high standards of care and full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations.
You will help provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where young people can thrive, promoting health and wellbeing, education, positive relationships, independence, and meaningful activities.
You will have proven experience working at a senior level within a Children’s Residential Care setting, alongside strong knowledge of safeguarding practices. Experience supporting young people with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties is essential, as is the ability to work confidently in challenging environments while leading excellence in care.
We are looking for a professional, compassionate individual who can work closely with management to ensure best practice throughout the home. Experience working within a therapeutic care environment is highly desirable.
You must hold, or be working towards, a Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or an equivalent qualification).
