Production Manager – refurbishment / fit-out / fabrication, Salary : £70k + £400 car allowance + excellent benefits package, Location : Gravesend

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager / Service Centre Manager to join an industry leader. We are keen to hear from candidates with a proven track record of leading a factory, manufacturing / production or workshop operation, preferably refurbishment / fit‑out / fabrication or similar. You will lead the site and team to operational excellence, with a focus on quality control, timely delivery, P  L and H  S.

Production Manager - The role
  • Responsible for delivering operational and quality excellence for the site against performance metrics.
  • Oversight of production planning, resource scheduling, and workflow optimisation.
  • P  L profitability and cost management ownership (materials, stock, resource utilisation, and labour) and being accountable for budget variance.
  • Provide leadership to the site team with clearly defined objectives aligned with daily, weekly, monthly, and annual targets. Coaching and team development.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives through process improvement methodologies and innovative thinking (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other methodologies).
  • Strategically plan operations to optimise resource productivity, ensuring 100% on‑time deliveries to customers.
Candidate requirements
  • Experience in a Production Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Site Manager / Workshop Manager or similar role, preferably in a factory refurbishment / fit‑out / fabrication or similar environment.
  • Strong operational management background.
  • Skilled in production planning, resource scheduling, and workflow optimisation.
  • Experience with P  L management, cost control, and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety and quality standards.
