• 3+ years of Supply and Demand experience, including forecasting and supplier scheduling.
• Experience working within the FMCG sector is essential.
• Proficient in Excel, familiar with pivot tables, VLookup & macros.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and monitor sales forecasts by customer and product.
• Identify discrepancies between actual and planned demand.
• Plan inventory levels and initiate purchase orders.
• Collaborate with logistics, suppliers, and shipping agents.
• Aid warehouse and sales teams in order fulfilment.
• Identify surplus inventory and collaborate with sales.
• Notify teams of potential stock shortages.
• Manage regular communication with stock control.

Our client in the Wednesbury area is looking for an experienced Demand Planner to join their vibrant team due to continued business growth.

Role & Responsibilities

• Analyse and monitor sales forecasts by customer and product, bridging sales and purchasing.
• Identify discrepancies between actual and planned demand, adjusting forecasts and supply chain plans to optimise inventory.
• Plan inventory levels and initiate purchase orders with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
• Collaborate with logistics, suppliers, and shipping agents to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders.
• Aid warehouse and sales teams in achieving 100% order fulfilment while minimising excess inventory.
• Identify surplus inventory and collaborate with sales to develop sales plans.
• Notify sales, procurement, and inventory teams of potential stock shortages and excess inventory.
• Manage regular communication with stock control and visit the warehouse as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of Supply and Demand experience, including forecasting and supplier scheduling.
• (Essential) Experience working within the FMCG sector.
• Familiarity with sales and operations planning.
• Proficient in MS packages with clear communication skills.
• Excel expertise, including pivot tables, VLookup & macro's.
• Strong time management and task prioritization abilities.
• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
