  • Forecast resource requirements for new product development projects.
  • Maintain demand KPIs, including forecast accuracy.
  • Provide 'what if' and scenario planning support to Production and Operations.
  • Manage Original Equipment demand profiles in the ERP system.

Demand Planner - Engineering / Manufacturing

Location: Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey

Salary: £42,000-£48,000 (dependent on experience)

A global technology manufacturer is seeking a Demand Planner to join their operations team in Sunbury-on-Thames. This position will suit an analytical and commercially aware professional who enjoys working with cross-functional teams to align demand, capacity, and strategic growth plans.

As a Demand Planner, you will be central to the company's Sales and Operations Planning process, driving validated demand forecasts, supporting bids for new technology, and helping senior leaders make data-driven decisions that improve on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the monthly Demand Review process within the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle
  • Analyse and present market and demand data to support decision-making at senior level
  • Build a framework to capture and validate demand across business units
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Engineering, and Project Management to deliver timely and accurate bid responses
  • Forecast resource requirements and staffing levels for new product development projects
  • Maintain demand KPIs, including forecast accuracy and business exposure to risk
  • Provide “what if” and scenario planning support to Production and Operations
  • Manage Original Equipment demand profiles in the ERP system (Navision)
