Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, seeks a Delivery Driver 3.5t to serve customers within a 50 mile radius of the Rochdale branch and act as a brand ambassador. You will manage multi-drop deliveries and heavy stock while building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, health and safety adherence, loading/unloading, and occasional warehouse duties such as stock checks and packing. Hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays 8am-12pm.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.
• Previous 3.5t multidrop driving is advantageous.
• Familiarity with using a handheld PDA.
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
• Be a team player who supports branch operations.
• Eagerness to learn with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5t van for multi-drop deliveries within a 50 mile radius of the branch, handling heavy stock.
• Build and maintain excellent customer relationships as a brand ambassador.
• Conduct daily vehicle, equipment and load safety checks and report defects.
• Load and unload deliveries as required.
• Assist in the warehouse with unloading, picking & packing, stock checks and tidying.
• Work 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri 08:00-17:00) and 1 in 3 Saturdays 08:00-12:00.

Job description

for: Driving a 3.5t van carrying out multi -drop deliveries to our customers within a 50 mile radius of the branch (This will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks, and toilets) Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring you are a positive ambassador of the brand Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment, and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects Loading and unloading deliveries where required When you are not out on deliveries you will be assisting in the warehouse with duties including unloading incoming stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks, and general tidying This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm and 1 in 3 Saturday's 08.00am - 12.00pm.

Requirements
