Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a part-time Delivery Driver (3.5T) in Ilkeston. You will deliver plumbing supplies, perform vehicle checks and assist in the warehouse.

The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 07:30–14:00 schedule and an annual salary of £20,021 plus bonus and benefits. Applicants should hold a full UK driving licence and be ready to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required (manual preferred).
• Experience driving a 3.5T van and performing multidrop deliveries is preferred.
• Willingness to assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver plumbing and heating supplies to customers in a 3.5T van.
• Carry out vehicle checks and load/unload deliveries, handling heavy items.
• Assist in the warehouse with stock checks, order picking and tidying.

As a 3.5T Delivery Driver based in Ilkeston you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies to our customer
• Carrying out vehicle checks, loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators toilets and sinks
• Assisting in the warehouse when back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying

This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:30am to 14:00pm.

• Previous 3.5T van and multidrop driving is preferred
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in the warehouse to ensure the smooth running of the branch
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence essential
