Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a 3.5t Delivery Driver in Rochdale. You will perform multi-drop deliveries within a 50-mile radius, handle loading/unloading, and support warehouse tasks, while representing the brand positively to customers.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and readiness to work a 40-hour week, with a rotating Saturday shift. Benefits include bonuses and a strong pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.
• Previous 3.5t multidrop driving is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5t van delivering to customers within a 50 mile radius of the Rochdale branch.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers as a positive brand ambassador.
• Carry out daily vehicle, equipment and load checks for health and safety, reporting defects.
• Load and unload deliveries as required.
• Assist in warehouse duties such as unloading stock, picking/packing orders, and stock checks.

As a 3.5t Delivery Driver based in Rochdale , you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving a 3.5t van carrying out multi -drop deliveries to our customers within a 50 mile radius of the branch (This will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks, and toilets)
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring you are a positive ambassador of the brand
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment, and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects
• Loading and unloading deliveries where required
• When you are not out on deliveries you will be assisting in the warehouse with duties including unloading incoming stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks, and general tidying

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm and 1 in 3 Saturday's 08.00am - 12.00pm.
