Delivery Driver 3.5T – Leicester – Plumb Centre

Responsibilities

• Driving a 3.5T van to deliver plumbing and heating supplies in the local area.
• The number of deliveries will vary day to day to new build construction sites but also residential customers and other businesses.
• Carrying out vehicle checks.
• Loading and unloading deliveries, which involves manual handling of heavy items such as boilers, radiators, toilets and sinks.
• Assisting in the warehouse if back from deliveries early with unloading stock, picking & packing orders, stock checks and general tidying.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Previous multidrop driving is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with PDA devices.
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in the warehouse to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.
