Tempdent is a market‑leading provider of dental training and apprenticeships, now proudly part of the Knovia Group. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an exceptional Delivery Director to join our Senior Leadership Team and drive the next stage of our operational and quality excellence.

As Delivery Director, you will own the entire learner journey across our portfolio of dental apprenticeship programmes—from first enrolment through to successful, timely completion. This is an exciting opportunity to influence Tempdent’s strategic direction, champion innovation, and shape a culture of high performance across our Operations, Funding & Compliance, Functional Skills and Additional Learning Support teams. You will inspire and empower colleagues, collaborate with senior leaders across the Knovia Group, and ensure that Tempdent remains a trusted, compliant, high‑quality provider recognised for excellence.

In this role you will
  • Provide outstanding leadership across all operational areas, ensuring excellence in delivery, compliance, quality and learner outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement, leading innovation in delivery models and operational processes
  • Contribute to SLT strategic planning and represent Tempdent with external partners including Ofsted, ESFA and awarding organisations
  • Own all operational KPIs, ensuring teams meet targets, uphold Tempdent values and deliver a best‑in‑class learner experience
  • Lead performance management through coaching, mentoring and impactful 1:1s and appraisals
  • Monitor operational data (e.g., learner occupancy, forecasting, QAR) and present insights to the board using systems such as PowerBI
  • Ensure divisional budgets, staffing and processes support growth and improvement in QAR and EBITDA
  • Champion safeguarding, quality standards and compliance across all activity
  • Foster collaboration with the Knovia Shared Services People Team to support recruitment, development and colleague engagement
Requirements
  • Extensive experience providing strategic and operational leadership within a remote or multi‑site environment
  • Proven track record of driving high performance, meeting KPIs and delivering organisational improvements
  • Strong understanding of apprenticeships, funding rules, awarding bodies and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Ofsted, ESFA)
  • Experience managing teams to achieve results while adhering to budgets and business expectations
  • A strategic thinker who is solutions‑focused, proactive and confident working in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Able to identify issues and implement improvements to drive results and enhance quality
  • Highly organised, self‑motivated and detail‑driven
  • Supportive, empathetic and committed to colleague and learner success
  • Leadership & Management qualification or equivalent experience
